Did You Know the Shortest Test Match Lasted Just Ten Balls?

It might surprise one and all but the shortest ever Test match lasted for only ten balls.
The match played between Windies and England in 2009 is the concerned one. The Test match was called off due to wet outfield and adverse weather conditions.
The hosts’ Windies had won the toss and had put the visitors to bat. However, only after ten balls in the second Test match of the series, the game got called off because of the muddy outfield. Subsequently, the Windies bowlers could not even take their run-up in the initial stages of the match.
Match Referee Alan Hurst decided the playing conditions were not suitable for the International match. Therefore, Hurst called the game off. The tourists scored seven runs in the ten balls bowled.

India-Afghanistan historic Test match ended in two days.

Meanwhile, India was able to wrap up Afghanistan within two days in the historic Test match. Thus, the Indian team proved to be too strong for the depleted Afghan side.
In fact, this was the first time that India managed to win a Test match within two days. However, this instance happened for the 21st time in the Test cricket folklore.
Furthermore, India registered its biggest inning win in the red ball form. The number one Test side obliterated the Asghar Stanikzai-led team by a large margin of an innings and 262 runs.
India had previously defeated Bangladesh by a massive margin of an inning and 239 runs in Mirpur in 2007.

It was a dominating display of power from the Ajinkya Rahane-led team.
However, Afghanistan was welcomed into the Test arena by a huge defeat. Meanwhile, the Afghan must have taken some lessons from their crushing loss.
