Five Indian cricketers fly to England for Test series

Five Indian cricketers picked for the Test series left for England and will join the remaining members, who are already there.

Three pacers Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah travelled along with Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara and Test spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja travelled together.

Other Test specialists Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane are already there in England and the rest of the players have played in the Twenty20 Internationals and One-day Internationals.

Bumrah could not play in the limited over series due to thumb injury and even now he is doubtful as his surgery is said to be not successful.

Ishant along with Ashwin and Jadeja is expected to spearhead India’s bowling attack.

With Ashwin and Jadeja capable as batsmen as well, India can also afford to play Kuldeep Yadav too in place of a batsmen.

Bumrah and Pujara took to Twitter to post photographs of their departure from India.

Ishant also posted a picture depicting the picture of seamers Mohammed Shami, Bumrah and himself.

Pujara wrote on Twitter “All set to take on this test!” and added the picture of all the players.
